Innocence(!)

We're back in Tahoe, and it's snowing! Perfect! Because I have to be in San Francisco all day! But tomorrow... Tomorrow will be the day! Northstar all the way! Look for the orange deck and orange Powder Hunters headgear.

The dude in this pic is Mike Ness from Social Distortion, I promise. The photo was taken from my phone, to explain why it sucks. Also, I'm just a widdle guy, and had to climb up on peeps just to get this crap shot. I'm not gonna lie and say that I grew up listening to Social D. They were slightly before my time. But as my appreciation for punk rock (true punk, not bubble gum sissy radio pop punk) grew, so did my appreciation for Social D. I generally don't like going to concerts, but certain ones are cool. I'm stoked when the crowd is INTO it; dancing, moving, and SINGING along. How stoked would you be if you were that guy? You wrote a song, maybe while on the road, or for whatever reason. And now people all over the world have memorized it because they feel the same way you do. Stoked. This is one reason why I love seeing Automaton decks on the hill. People have so much choice these days, and for them to choose Automaton instead of a blood-sucking corporate brand owned by people who don't care about our lives really says much to me. It almost gives me hope for mankind. Wow, what a ramble. I guess I'm still groggy from all the sleep i just caught up on. But back to Social D, not too long after taking this shot, i got tossed into the pit, which was cool until I started getting pummled. I ducked my head to guard my grill, then felt myself getting picked up by some huge dude who was tossing peeps for crowd surfing. Not wanting to get my wallet/phone lost, and groped, I grabbed onto this girl and guy to my right. I was all, "don't let them take me!" and they were all "we won't!" So it became a wootang tug of war for a couple moments. In the end, I still have my wallet, phone, and innocence(!), and got this shot of Social D rockin' the crowd.
