91 Words For Rad

Straight from the visionaries at Blank Paper Studios comes their flick: 91 Words For Snow. In my opinion, 91 Words is the most comprehensive and thorough video representation of the snowboarding culture to date. It touches on almost every single value that makes snowboarding cool. And it does this without being esoteric yet staying true to our culture. You don't have to be the most experienced and sophisticated shred to appreciate this movie. Yet it doesn't insult those same shreds. I like how 91 Words spans many disciplines of modern day shralping, from backcountry and heli to street rails and halfpipe. All to a killer soundtrack and visual camera work. This is the kinda vid that makes you wanna pack up and head straight to the mountains. Ok, if there's 1 thing I have to say about 91 Words that I didn't like, to balance out this review, is that some of the riders in it aren't the most exciting people or have the biggest personalities. It's not like kids wake up and want to be some of these dudes. Kinda like that zillion dollar Quik flick: Young Guns 2. Did I mention the killer soundtrack? But all in all, Blank Paper has pumped out one of my personal top 5 videos on their first go round. This isn't such a big surprise because Blank Paper is run by Benedek and Weber, 2 guys that had hands in Robot Food which made my other fav videos. I also dig the vids from Mack Dawg and Absinthe. I like Derilectica as well. Where can you find a copy of 91 Words? It's included free in Snowboarder and Future Snowboarding magazines. And you know my policy: if it's free, I'll take 2.
