The Unfunny

A buddy of mine just sent me a copy of what I consider to be the quintessential snowboard flick of all time (even rivaling 91 Words For Snow): Afterlame. I just watched it twice in a row. While its footage may not be as gnar or tech as, say, Mack Dawg's movies, Afterbang, like all other Robot Food and related projects, is just a well-thought out video, and I appreciate that. The footage is very complete, meaning there's a bit of everything. Backcountry booters, park, street rails, even big mountain. The editing is what really shines. Afterlame watches seamlessly meaning all the parts blend into each other instead of having a movie that's really a bunch of clips. The camera angles are creative and entertaining. And the soundtrack is phenomenal. I also like how the riders are allowed to speak, giving the audience insight into the process of making a snowboard video and also sharing experiences all snowboarders have. Afterbang makes you wanna go out and shred! Unfortunately, Afterbang was released 2 seasons ago, so finding one in a store will probably be difficult. But don't let that stop you! Do what you have to do to see the most thorough and fun snowboard movie ever! Do it now!

On a side note, I'm still recovering from Mammoth. Lots of lying down (by myself) and watching videos. In between, I call accounts and make sure they're stoked on my brand and to get orders through. Next week is the notorious Kirkwood demo, so I gotta get prepared for that. Man, my posts have become really unfunny. What's up with that? Here's even an unfunny photo of JB pullin' it tight over a Mammoth kicker.
