There's No 'H' In Poo

At least not when I spell it. But 2 European researchers who do throw an 'h' in poo completed a study on the internal pressures of penguins while they crap. Seriously. How did they find the funding for a project like this? And how does this knowledge makes us better off?

"All birds, penguins included, spend a considerable time preening and cleaning their feathers. It seems therefore that these birds propel their faeces as far away as possible (with a minimum amount of effort) lest they soil their plumage."

Hmm, maybe these birds are onto something.
