Loose Teeth

My friends tease me about my eating habits. First they say that I buy like a single guy. Which is understandable because I'm a single guy. This means I go to the food store for every meal, instead of buying a week's worth at 1 time. They also say that I have the food selection of a 10 year old. So at the food store today, I paid attention to what I bought. Some of it is grown up food, like bananas and beer. But the rest... Tater tots, 2 bags. They're so fun to eat! 5 pack of mac & cheese. And the clincher: 10 pack of Capri Sun. Seriously, a drink in a bag? I was having a tough time deciding between the flavors "Cherry Red" and "Red Berry". Ultimately Red Berry won because it has a couple of snow shreds on the box. Call me a sucker for targeted marketing.

In other news, I'm mucho sore from yesterday at Northstar. Took 4 park runs, and ate it on each of them. The first time was in the pipe. I hate riding pipe in the 1st place. I was going for an alley-oop 360, hit an icy patch, and shot myself out of the pipe, onto the deck, landing flat on my front. The bonus was that my head and arms were hanging over the vert into the pipe while my body was sprawled out on the deck. A couple runs later, I was going to frontside a flat box and got caught up on something on the run in, causing me to superman slide the box and fall off the end. Added to which, some little shit on the lift yelled out, "hey, aren't you supposed to slide it on your board?" At least I pulled the kinked rail, but if I see that kid, i'm gonna have to loosen some of his teeth.

Clark Foam, supplier of 90% of the world's surfboard foam blanks has been shut down. Apparently, some laws have been broken, this and that. As it happens, Gordon Clark may be facing fines, civil lawsuits, and possible jail time. The result? US production of surfboards has screeched to a halt. Obviously it's time for someone with half a brain (and lots of capital) to step up and fill a gaping void in an industry that historically doesn't generate that much money.

Hope you feel unsore very soon. I love kids food! I buy lots of icy poles, I don't know what you call them in the USA, I eat them like a kid too. :)

yeah, the body's feeling a bit tore up at the moment. but there's another snow/skate/surf saying that goes: you gotta pay to play.
