Queuing Is Half The Fun!

I'm not the biggest of tennis fans, but I will watch the hell out of some sport. Except cricket. Then I'll only watch the highlights. So yesterday, we all took half days, or the day off and headed towards Wimbledon for some traditional tennis action. But first we had to brave the queue. Wimbledon's queue is legendary. Leigh and Bryce started into line just after noon, and got into the park about 5 hours later. No joke. Event officials pass out fliers posting proper queue etiquette. But the queue is supposed to be half the fun. Ed, Danielle, and I rocked up with pimms and beer, magazines, snacks, some pasties. We came prepared. But yeah, once we got in, it was tennis heaven. After regrouping at court 13, refueling with strawberries and pimms, some more pasties, we scalped centre court tix and got to see Hewitt and Lee play. I gather it's a big deal to see Lleyton Hewitt play or something, 'cause it seemed that the whole stadium was cheering for him. Ed's answer: too many Aussies in attendance.

That's Lleyton Hewitt serving on the far side on the court. That's me taking the photo from £40 seats we paid £0 for. And that will be me catching a flight to Barcelona in 8 hours.
