Sunday evening is upon us. I am so happy. It's been a hell of a week, let me tell you. What with work, tradeshows, industry parties, and crap like that. Meeting accounts, meeting new people, trying to figure out a way up for Automaton. It's all part of the biz game, I understand. Not to sound like I'm complaining. Not at all. It's much better than my bill-paying job which is being a cook. After nearly a decade in it, I don't understand why anyone in America would want to be in the culinary industry. It's a lot of work for not much payoff. Professionally cooking is hard labor and I'm not scared of working hard. I'm just tired of working so hard, and earning little money, at something I don't care about. (My days of wanting to be a chef ended back in 02). I'm so burnt on cooking that though I'm constantly hungry (I have the metabolism of a gerbil), I rarely have an appetite. On the other side, building
Automaton is a new experience for me, a creative outlet, and a possible future. So I can't afford to make preventable mistakes. This brings much pressure. But I don't mind. Snowboarding is something I care about. It's the way I've lived my life for the last quarter of my life. Strangely enough, before I launched Automaton, I had never intended to be in the industry in the 1st place. But I guess that's another blog for another time. If you're still reading this turd of a post, congratulations. You must know my brain is mush. I'm gonna kick back and watch
Futureproof which has to be 1 of the best snowboard flicks of this season. And here's a picture of a boy with his turd to go along with this turd of a post. Enjoy.
