Demo 1

There was an industry demo at Sugar Bowl today, and I had to make sure AutoSnowCo. was represented. Demos are kinda cool because there's so many people cruising around. Even the early AM arrival to a freezing mountain, setting up tents and gear with frozen fingers is ok, if done in moderation. This demo was no different. 4x4 up to the lifts in shifty snow, power tripping organizers, passing out stickers and catalogs by the fistful, and drunk by 9:30am. Thanks to the new Capita NorCal rep, Chris, for the brews. For the first demo of the season it wasn't so bad. I didn't ride, but I chatted with some familiar faces and met a good amount of new dealers. And met new Capita rider cutie Destinee Perata! And she crochets! Not going to be there tomorrow, however. I gotta hit the road and make sales happen. Or make something happen.

Here's a pic of the Automaton tent just before the demo opened. It's a huge step up from our tent last season that Matt Wolcott and I made from $100 worth of PVC piping, military webbing, and black spraypaint. My favorite tent today had to be Capita's. Chris just threw the tent up, set out a couple wooden monsters, and a 30 pack. Not a single snowboard there! So rad. I mean most companies had like 30 boards with them. I had 5. Capita had zero. F-ing rad!

I'm beat now, though. And hungry. Could go for a bit of meat wreath right about now.
