Hosed.

Happy place, happy place. We're getting hosed for snow right now in Tahoe. It sucks balls. Ok, it's 1 thing to just not get snow. That's like getting your wallet stolen. Sucks, but we can deal. But to have warm temps and RAIN? That's like getting your wallet stolen, then kicked in the crotch. Rain is up there with the top natural evils including mosquitoes and wind. Wind is ok if you're hang gliding or sailing. Otherwise, it's stupid. A breeze is good, you know, to keep things fresh. An offshore breeze is even better when the surf's good. And yet I digress.

To deal with this crap weather, which in any other place would be awesome weather, I gotta go to my happy place. This pic was taken on the way to a 'secret' point break an hour south of Ensenada, then an hour off road. The waves were great because the swell was nicely wrapping around the point. Unfortunately, my leash snapped on my 3rd wave, my board got washed into the cliff, I got worked over the reef and ended up getting a dozen urchin spines in my feet. I've refused to wear a leash ever since. Would I rather be surfing than shredding? Not right now. I want pow, and I want it now!

Holy crap! San Diego is double overhead! Holy crap!
