Chicken Fried

Last night was the last dinner service at the restaurant for the season. Pretty happy about that. For the occasion, I made myself some chicken fried steak over garlic mashed. With white gravy. And I mean the white gravy where I rendered the bacon first and reduced straight cream. It was delicious, however, the instant I finished the last bite, my heart started hurting. Really. I dunno how all those Southerners can take it. I'm on a get-fat-quick diet, not a clog-my-arteries-quick diet. But chicken fried steak tastes so good!

Today marks the last day for the restaurant for the season. Our last meal is lunch. It also marks the last day of my personal hell: 16 consecutive days of working 62-70 hour weeks at a W-2 job. In the last 3 days, I've worked 34 hours. PLUS taking care of Automaton stuff, which is a full time job in itself. Why work this much? I'm starting to question that myself. I need the money for sure. But for what? So I can move fjaslk;fjsadljfjsi9gbjasrkla;vjdska [ed: had to edit that comment. It was a total lapse of judgement]? ... Scratch that comment, I'm running on 5 hours of sleep times 16 nights, and I think my brain is chicken fried right now. I'd also like to get a new car, and I need money for that. Would love to blog more, but I gotta head out to start this Easter brunch... AND it's dumping, supposed to get 3 feet! Pow pow tomorrow for sure! I guess I can sleep when I'm dead, which probably will be in a day or so at this rate.

One of the new Automaton stickers shown above. Send an SASE to get yours before they run out and you're the guy that doesn't have stickers.
