You Know Who I Am!

Long day. I'm sunburnt. Just got back from the 2nd annual Grenade Games, and I'm glad I did. It was totally worth the 6 hours of driving I did today. And it was the 1st time I ever rode June Mountain. Their park is off the hook. At least coming from Tahoe parks, June's rail lines and jib features were impressive. On par with Northstar's build quality, but more difficult. Flat ground, skate style, straight and double kink rails? Pyramid to propane tank? That was just the jibs. The jumps I wanted no parts of. I'm not much of a jumper to begin with, I mean, i'll throw spins off of any roller, cat track, drop, or pimple in the snow. But when it comes to man-made kickers of consequence over gaps... I sure have not seen jumps of June's calibur anywhere in Tahoe. Or anywhere else for that matter. Don't think I'm hating on Tahoe parks. I def have a lot of fun in them. But it's just an eye opener to see a park like June's, and a really high general level of riding, especially by the little kids that spin to rails and huck the kickers like it was nothing. But back to the Games, it was an all day shredfest of park and pipe action, bands, pros, pro-hos, and recreational chemical enhancement. Of course I didn't take any photos. But here's my pass. VIP, bitches! Thanks to Kirsten at Grenade for hooking that one up.

By the way, new fav band (for this week): Voxtrot!
