I think I'm pretty much the best snow driver ever. First check the equipment: 1994 Ford Explorer with 165k miles, tires that were brand new 60k miles ago, and a transfer case that I fixed myself 2 years ago. There's a burning smell if I engage 4x4 for too long. And I'm the dude passing douches driving their brand new SUV's in the snow. By the way, who buys an SUV that's NOT 4x4? Might as well get a van for better MPG's. I'm totally down with the mini-van. I think more people should be driving them, if for environmental reasons. If they only made more 4x4 vans... Anyway, freezing slush/snow tonight, the trusty Explorer tore it up and got me safe at home in 1 piece, no drama. It's such a warrior. The only better snow car is Joe's A4 with studded snow tires. Unstoppable.
